I teach 7th and 8th graders who are about 13-14 years old. The boys are very interested in video games. Recently it became known by the 8th grade boys that my husband was also interested in video games. (I heard them talking about video games and they were amazed when I knew what they were talking about).
This is a conversation I had in the hallway today with 2 of my 8th grade boys, C and B:
C: "Mrs. Lewis, does your husband play MW3?" (Modern Warfare 3 for those not in the know)
Me: "Um....he hasn't been playing that so I'm not sure. All I know is that his current favorite is Skyrim."
*Wide eyes from all the boys who had gathered
C: "That's sweet!"
B: "Your husband sounds like a stud."
Me: "Get to class."
But then I smile as I walk away. Yes, my husband is a stud. :)
